Assessments

For any new injury this is your essential first step. Here you will get a detailed 45-minute assessment and usually your first treatment to kickstart your recovery. The assessment includes discussing your medical history, we will analyse your movement, diagnose the root cause, and it ends with a personal plan for your recovery.

Physiotherapy

These are the follow-up sessions after an initial assessment, where you get targeted treatment to tackle the initial pain, and then quality rehabilitation (rehab) that will get you back to feeling 100% again. You will usually be treated by the same experienced physiotherapist who is dedicated to helping you recover quickly and confidently.

Shockwave

An assessment must be done prior to treatment to establish if this is the right treatment option for you. Shockwave Therapy is used for conditions that don’t respond well to normal physio such as achilles tendinopathy. A shockwave session maybe only be 15 minutes long, but the treatment dose is powerful and targeted. The pricing reflects the need for specialist equipment, advanced training, and a treatment that works differently from standard physiotherapy.

Physio-Led Pilates

This is Pilates with a difference, these are tailored for recovery and not generic classes for exercise. Clinical Pilates is led by a physiotherapist in small groups (3 max), and can be used as part of rehabilitation phase, here every exercise is adapted to the patient's injury, progressed at the right pace, and designed to help the patient become stronger and move better without flaring their injury.

Treatment Through Insurance

Straight Back Physio works closely with many insurance companies, however we need you to confirm a few key details prior to treatment - your insurance provider, policy number, and authorisation code. Most insurer providers require pre‑approval for physiotherapy, and treatment cannot be claimed without it.

Most injuries will require 6 sessions, some will require more and some less. Our great value “Buy 5, Get 1 Free” packs provide an affordable treatment option while staying consistent with your expected recovery plan. The expected number of sessions required for recovery from your particular injury will be discussed with you by the physiotherapist at your assessment, Rest assured that we won't push you into extra treatment that you don't need.

These  pre-paid packs not only save you money (over 16%), they are also useful for anyone juggling their time around a busy diary as these give you the flexibility to book a date and time that fits your schedule (subject to availability).

Need more than 6 sessions, no problem, discounts apply for all further treatment on your current injury. Need less, lock in your discounted treatment price as unused sessions are valid for 2 years.

Payment

Appointments are booked in advance, no refunds are given under any circumstances, although sessions can be rescheduled - see note below. We accept all major credit and debits cards at our clinic. 

Reschedule / Cancellation

We understand that plans can change, and you’re always welcome to reschedule  your appointment at no charge, providing you give us a minimum 24 hrs notice. If you want to reschedule with less than 24 hrs notice, OR  you wish to cancel your appointment, we reserve the right to charge the full session fee, as this time has been set aside especially for you, and it helps us keep our service running smoothly for everyone.

Insurance

Straight Back Physio works closely with many insurance companies, which means we can often settle your treatment costs directly with your insurer. We’re happy to handle the billing on your behalf, but it’s important to make sure your policy covers the sessions you book and that you stay in touch with your insurer to keep your authorisation up to date.

We’ll process and submit claims for you, but if an insurer delays or declines payment for any part of your treatment, the balance will be passed on to you for settlement. Thank you for your understanding.
