The week in review

20.01.13-27.01.13

It's been somewhat of a crazy week over here at Straight Back Physio. It's been busy, there is no question, and that is great. But dealing with the remaining snow that has been lying around in Cheltenham has been a bit of a pain. It has definitely made riding the bike a bit more treacherous that's for sure. In the icy conditions you really must wear a helmet, don't leave home without it. It might just save your life.

It's that time of year, I can tell... By that I mean its the time of year that those of you that have entered any of the local half marathons around Cheltenham and Glos get serious. And it's the time of year that those who are lucky enough to have a place in the London marathon start to realise the size of the task that lies ahead!

Running injuries are coming thick and fast as people are really supplementing their running with cross training and core work. It's great to see, but be careful and go steady with any new drills you might be trying out.

Check out our website and have a look at how we can help you out with any spinal or lower limb pain you might be suffering with as a result of your training Lower limb pain.

Thus week I went on a great 'Rocktape' course to enhance what I already knew about Kinesio tape, it has also provided me with some great new techniques to help with aches and pains. Have a look at last weeks Blog entry for more information on what 'K-tape' is Should i be using Kinesio tape?

Oh and did we mention we held our first Saturday morning clinic @ The Gym?

Perfect for those of you who need a weekend slot at Physio.

Have a good week Stuart and Sarah
