I just wanted to point you towards this little video we put together about strengthening up the hips.

I know not all of you are runners, but if you know a runner or are close to a runner or have a partner who is obsessive about running then you can't go wrong getting them to have a go at these drills - even if they don't have any issues right now.

These exercises are some of the best go to drills anyone can use to improve strength around the hips and pelvis. These exercises are so so useful for people with all kinds of running related hip injury. But they aren't just limited to these - they are also great for:

  • Low back pain.
  • Hip tendonitis.
  • Knee or even ankle pain.
And for those recovering from hip Surgery - check out this awesome work from some serious hip surgery.


So to clarify - for nearly any Hip related running injury - have a go at these drills in the first place to aid recovery.

And try the tests on your running friends and family...

Copy the strength tests and show them how strong you are (or just how weak they are around the hips and pelvis).
