What us Physio's really do...
I’m going to let you in on a little secret, a little bit of an insider view into the world of Physiotherapy.
So you might or might not know that Physio’s are excellent problem solvers - solving issues that relate to your bodies joints and muscular system.
Physio’s are basically body mechanics! Literally experts in movement and body parts.
But we don't just mechanically fix bodies, of course, we need to run the diagnostics package first you see!
We need to get the body into the workshop to see how it's ‘working’ and find out whats not working quite right. Only then can we offer up the new parts and fixes you need.
But did you know what perhaps what nearly 50% of all issues relate to?
Sometimes it's as simple as people being too stiff or too weak.
Of course, it's not just about that, because you need to establish why someone is stiff or weak in the first place.
Perhaps there isn't enough oil in the pump. Maybe there isn't enough water in the radiator. Maybe parts are seized or worn…
Either way, a great place for you to start to manage your own mechanical issues and DIY maintenance is to stretch, mobilise and get stronger with some strengthening exercises.
Or simply get a little more active in general.
Motion is lotion.
